High-quality decorative soil, ideal for aquariums. It can also be used in landscape design for interior and exterior spaces.
Key Features
- Neutral type – ideal for most fish and aquatic plants. Does not increase water hardness or affect pH.
- High hydrophobicity – ensures long-lasting aesthetics and facilitates cleaning of contaminants, including mold and mildew.
- Environmentally safe – the material has been laboratory tested in aquatic environments.
Instructions for Use
Before adding new substrate to the aquarium, thoroughly rinse it under running water to remove dust, dirt, and organic debris.
If necessary, boiling can be used for additional cleaning and to lower the pH. However, excessive sterilization can destroy beneficial bacteria, so heat treatment should be performed only when necessary.
Choose a substrate that meets the needs of your aquarium inhabitants. For live plants, a neutral substrate that doesn't alter the water's chemistry is best.
Substrate Care
To maintain cleanliness, it is recommended to periodically siphon out any remaining feed and waste. This helps prevent ammonia buildup and maintains a healthy soil balance. However, excessive siphoning is undesirable, as it can disrupt beneficial bacteria colonies.
