The relevance of fire-bioprotective materials in Ukraine in the current conditions is difficult to overestimate. A strong fire that occurs in buildings both for usual reasons and as a result of damage from warheads, their fragments, or unburned fuel can multiply the damage many times over and claim even more human lives. In emergency situations, time gained and some precautions often save someone's life and can prevent something irreparable. This is possible if: a) use non-flammable material to protect flammable and combustible substances; and b) treat flammable materials and surfaces with fire-retardant coatings.

Wood is used everywhere in construction. One of its widespread applications is wooden roof structures. Also, production facilities, warehouses, retail and agricultural premises often use wooden pallets, packaging, boxes, wooden structures and sheds and much more that can easily ignite.

Modern Fire retardant materials for woodhave several different types of responses to high temperatures and fire prevention. The two most effective of them are:

  1. The release of flammable gas under the influence of high temperature or combustion, which makes impregnated wood difficult to ignite for a long time.
  2. Formation of a dense thick non-combustible layer of coke on the surface of wood under the influence of high temperature or fire, which makes, for example, wooden structures, packaging products or containers difficult to burn for a long time.

The first type of fire-bioprotective agents includes a) Fire-retardant impregnation for wood BS-13 manufactured in accordance with GOST 28815-96. and received a current state certificate of compliance with fire protection group 1 confirmed by tests, as well as a new generation of fire retardant impregnation with improved fire retardant properties «Firebio impregnation» also received a current state certificate of compliance with fire protection group 1, confirmed by tests and received many commendable reviews.

The second type of product includes fire retardant paint of the intumescent type. «Fireproof coating» (swells from high temperature or fire).

It is worth noting that the first type of impregnation not only helps to reduce smoke formation in the event of a fire, but also prevents the development of mold and mildew under normal conditions, and the service life and effectiveness of the fire-retardant coating formed by the “Fireproof coating” paint (the second type of product) ensures the effectiveness period coatings from 10-25 years indoors.
